Job Candidates
If you are a currently employed as a consulting professional, have previously worked in a consulting capacity or have FORTUNE 500 experience—and if you have committed yourself to the search process for the purpose of securing an exceptional position—then you are the type of person with whom we would like to establish a long-term relationship.

At Bluegrass Recruiting, our Client Partner companies represent some of the nation's most prestigious and fastest growing national and international consulting firms.  As a result of said growth, our Client Partners are seeking to hire top-tier battle tested consulting professionals.

In a highly competitive global market where talent is the key differentiator and sole determinant of value, a competitive advantage can only be achieved by recruiting and retaining the most talented professionals in the world.
Though it sounds simple enough, the actual task of recruiting the most desirable consulting candidates  represents  a monumental undertaking.  Especially so,  when one considers that typically 97% of all job applicants are eliminated from consideration during the first resume screening.  Therefore, if you are to survive the resume screening process and secure an interview audience, you must do everything within your power to position yourself for success.

In an attempt to assist you in this regard, Bluegrass Recruiting has authored two free exposes entitled “Power Resumes” and “Interviewing Skills” (both of which can be accessed vis-à-vis the main menu on this website).  We encourage all job candidates to review the "Power Resumes" expose, and implement the recommendations espoused therein, prior to submitting their resume for our review and consideration.  The reason being that we want your resume to receive maximum consideration, not just at Bluegrass Recruiting but at all companies and recruiting firms within your universe of contacts, which may or may not occur if essential aspects of your experience and accomplishments are not presented in a manner that is readily apparent and easily assimilated.

Having implemented the recommendations delineated in the "Power Resumes" expose, and provided that your background meets the minimum criteria for consideration as delineated in the first paragraph of this web page, we encourage you to forward a copy of your resume and cover letter using the “Email Us” link located on the main menu bar.  Please keep in mind that all resume and cover letter email submissions should be in the form of file attachments and utilize the Microsoft® Word (doc) or Adobe Acrobat (pdf) file formats.

Moreover, it is important that all cover letters include the following:

(a)   Position designation (if responding to an advertised opening);

(b)   Title of the position to which you are applying;

(c)   Practice area/specialization;

(d)   Primary industries served;
;

(e)   Client base (FORTUNE 1000, Inc 500, privately-held middle-market, etc.);

(f)    Metro-market preferences and/or geographical regions for relocation;

(g)   Travel limitations (if applicable); and

(h)  Salary Range/Draw Requirements (excluding bonus compensation).

Bluegrass Recruiting Job Candidate Gets A Fabulous Job Offer

Unfortunately, due to the sheer number of resumes that we receive on a daily and weekly basis, it is impossible for us to respond to each resume submission on an individual basis.  However, a
Bluegrass recruiter will contact you at such time that a current opening exists that corresponds to your background, experience, skill set and geographical preferences.  Obviously, the degree of flexibility that you have with respect to relocation will have a direct impact on the number of positions for which consideration can be extended.

In that regard, please be advised that most of our Client Partners have company-wide policies, practice specific policies or individual partner preferences that require that their consultants reside in the same metro markets in which they have a physical office presence.  Of course, there are exceptions.  For example, depending upon the service specialization and the geographic markets served, some Client Partner companies do allow “road warriors” to live in cities and states that do not correspond to the company’s local, regional or national offices.  But, such exceptions tend to be rare and are not representative of the consulting industry-at-large.

If you have forwarded, or are planning to forward, a copy of your resume for our review and consideration, then we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your submission.  And, while you’re here, we encourage you to take a moment to explore the many resources that are available on this website.

Wishing you the best of success in all your endeavors and pursuits,

The Management & Staff of Bluegrass Recruiting
